A November To Remember!

November 2021 was one to remember at Smiley Technologies. We completed a conversion of a new community bank to our core platform, received some wonderful recognition, participated in the CDBA Annual Peer Forum, hosted a Fall Festival for our employees and their families, and had a successful canned food drive.

Partners Bank, a community bank headquartered in Helena, Arkansas, became our newest bank partner to our SiBanking core platform. The nearly $360 million asset-sized bank has seven full-service locations in Helena, West Helena, Marvell, Wynne, Marion, Springdale, and a loan production office in Conway.

Our conversion team, led by Chief Product Officer Megan Lee, worked with the bank for the past six months. John O. Moore, President & CEO of Partners Bank, summed up the conversion nicely in a recent business article: “Smiley Technologies offers a true partnership model with genuine care for their customers that is unseen in this industry. The Smiley team goes above and beyond for their customers, which was evident the past few months during the conversion process.”

We are grateful to Partners Bank and look forward to a successful partnership for years to come.

As voted on by readers of Arkansas Money & Politics in its annual Best of program, Smiley Technologies was recognized for several awards including:

Thank you to the readers of Arkansas Money & Politics for voting for us!

In the first two weeks of November, we sponsored and participated in the Community Development Bankers Association’s (CDBA) Annual Virtual Peer Forum. The CDBA is the national trade association for community development financial institutions (CDFIs); we currently have four CDFI’s on our core platform with Partners Bank being our latest CDFI added to our platform.

Our President and CEO Elizabeth Glasbrenner participated in a panel titled “Lessons from the Field: Building Technology Partners.” Elizabeth and four bank executives provided best practices and proper due diligence when selecting a vendor.

Right before Thanksgiving break, we hosted a Fall Festival outside our offices with music, games, food, and fellowship. Although a little chilly, it was great to spend time with most of our employees and their families. Check out some pictures from the event here.

Finally, the most important endeavor we put on every year is our Food Drive. We collected dry food and money that was donated to the Arkansas Food Bank. Thanks to Amanda Billingsley and Michael Duran for leading this for us! See the picture below!
